Remove the liner from the sticky page at the front of the book by pulling the tab. Make sure that the front of the book matches the front of the cover so you don't place the book in upside down.
Place the book in the cover, staying approximately 1/8 inch from the edge of the cardboard spine. Here are the details how I do it. I put the cover on the table, with the cardboard side up and the back of the cover nearest me. I then hold the bound pages with both hands, the spine facing me and the peeled away side facing down. Then I slowly lower the pages down onto the cover by looking at the three sides of the cover away from the spine. These are the three sides that have the cover picture wrapped around the cardboard. I look for the same amount of space on all three sides, from the book edges to the cover edge (about 1/16 of an inch.) If all three edges are the same, then the book will have been placed in the cover evenly and correctly.
Turn the book around and pull the other half of the peel away paper off the book, and then (with the book on the table) pick up the back cover and close it down onto the book. All you have to do here is make sure the book is square, edges to edges. Then press.
For best results, secure the sticky sheet fully by rubbing a soft cloth firmly over the entire sticky sheet and pinch the cover at the bound or center of the book to insure a firm fit. That is all there is to it! Practice binding sample books until you are comfortable with the steps.
