Dave, this is serious.  I have started offering recordable Cars books to meet the need for a book about cars and to keep to the personalised theme.  I think we need this one before the new dinosaur book.

    Hey Denize,

I do think it's important, the only reason we have to do Dinosaur first is because they've already got the story line changes which means it will be much faster, and we've already told many dealers it was next in line. For all stories, the first thing we have to work on is the storyline. Any thoughts? (ps. I'm still looking forward to working on "A Hero's Welcome" too).

    Hi Dave,

Coming from a military family and being a part of deployments as well as working military bases with my books, I agree that there is a HUGE demand for a   personalized book focusing on deployment  issues that children are subjected to when one or both of their parents are sent overseas. The lost of a parent for a year or more, is a really hard thing to deal with when you are only 1- 5 years old.  Our children today will be affected for years to come. The many circumstances they have to learn to deal with in early life ( things that others may never have to deal with) will certainly affect them in future choices and their personal development. I have in the last three years compiled Deployment books for children with deployment anxiety issues. Books that incorporate a story line of the child and the deploying parent, one that they can take with them all the time. It has pictures of the parent and the favorite things they did together when the parent was home. Things and story that reinforce the love the parents have for the child, comforting times. So, I would like to help with a book theme to address this issue.

We would love to see books about cars,  pets, disabled people, visiting a zoo, etc.

    Hi Dave,

I am about to become a distributor and I would like to see waaay more educational books. In order to target the day care and elementary school markets, I feel there should be more variety so repeat customers will always have new material to choose from. Are distributors able to submit their own stories and illustrations for review by CreateABook? Just curious, can't blame a girl for trying. Oh and as a military mom, I absolutely agree that deployment books would be a HIT.

    Hi Erica,

We're looking forward to working with you. For the educational books, I'd love to hear your thoughts. The majority of Create-A-Book books are written for the Kindergarten - 3rd grade level, and are meant to encourage and facilitate learning to read. However, I'm guessing you're talking about more books like "My School Fun Book" and "Little One Little One" that center around learning activities, correct?

You can absolutely post your own ideas if you'd like to get feedback. I might recommend first sticking to a concept and plot summary, just so it's easier for people to get a quick idea. And this way you aren't posting an unpublished idea into the public domain (for your own sake).

Make sure you're following the "Hero's Welcome" book idea, we'll have some updates to that very soon.

I think there are an endless amount of possibilities for books.  I don't think you have a book about being bullied.  A book about the 4th of July and what it means.

I would like to see a book about a child going to the dentist.

It's been 4 years, but you mentioned a book called "A Hero's Welcome". What became of that book?  I know there was a Navy Adventure book, but I do not remember seeing "A Hero's Welcome".

    Hey Cindy,

I keep posting ideas but never get any response about new books being made.  I have serious concerns about if CAB is just sitting until the cash cow dries up or if any new products are being considered.  I hear a lot of my craft show passers-by saying "I got that exact one when I was a kid..." or similar.  People are asking me for new books too :(

Cindy and Valerie,  I just started by business back up and was surprised to see the most current posts here are about 5 months ago.  If you are still actively doing your business, can I run a couple of questions past you?  You can reach me at booklady725@gmail.com.  Thanks in advance for your (or anyone's response)
