Uploading Photos by Customers

    Hey Jessica,

I'll start with the current solutions:

    1. We do have the photo stickers that allow customer to add their childs photo to a book.
    2. You could also do this yourself now just by printing the photo and creating a custom insert page.

To dig deeper into your post, are you referring to the website being able to let customers upload a photo, and/or for the Create-A-Book software to have a feature that will take a photo and print it into the book? We've talked about the web feature at SaviSites, allowing site owners to create products that request an uploaded image/file when adding specified products to the cart. I think that will likely be a feature released next year.

The challenge for Create-A-Book adding this feature into the software and systems is less about the software requirements, and more about the shift in hardware requirements. Most dealers use black and white printers, not to mention many use ink jet printers too, so the photo quality is the primary concern.

I currently have the photo stickers and was looking at the possibility of having the customers upload photos for CAB and another product I sell.  I will wait patiently for this feature to arrive! :)

The other part of the suggestion, is being able to have add-ons or up-sells for products.  So, they could add an extra $2 to have it gift wrapped or add $12 to get a second book at a discount etc.  Not sure how this would work though!

    Thanks Dave!

    Hey Jessica,

Happy to report SaviSites will likely have the upload image and gift wrap features next year. For the discount on the second book, you can make a coupon and offer this now.
