Christmas
The Christmas season is the best time of year to "harvest" sales from your efforts all year long. Do your email blasts in early November, maybe even late October. Book sales spike near Halloween, and then spike again from mid November through Christmas. Christmas happens each year and you can count on it. Parents and grandparents are almost obligated to buy gifts for their children and grandchildren.
This is where the refridgerator magnets with your QR on them, the pens you handed out, the brochures you handed out, the emails you sent, will now pay off. Make sure you have QR's in every book you make. See other parts of this Knowlege base to learn how to create a QR, which is a scan code taking people to your website, or to a section of your website (where you may have a special Chrisdtmas offer of buy three, get one free).
Location sales are best during the Christmas holiday. Negotiate a favorable rate for your location, and if possible, just pay a percent of your sales for the space if traffic is not as high as predicted.
Decorate your website to reflect the Season Spirit. Promote specials. Try this one "get 50% off coupon with this order" What that means, is this order is full price, and when you send them a book, they get a half off coupon. Some will use it, some won't. But, it sure looks good on the site and a repeat sale may bring you one or more orders.
Work with churches, schools, day care centers, hospitals, and other groups who may want to give books to kids for a gift. Have a "home party" or "holiday business mixer" with friends and business professionals in November, in time for them to be exposed to your books (see home parties on Knowledge base).
